  • Why use HPS/MH lamps over LED lamps?
    • HPS lamps produce the most efficient light spectrum for maintaining the highest growth rate, it remains the highest yield per watt lighting solution over any other lighting types.
    • LED lamps despite been more energy efficient, they are limited to a small range of colour output thus they have lower canopy penetration, over saturation of the top leaf tissue causing light burn.
    • Due to lack of standards in LED grow lights, every set of LEDs can be different and produce different results.
    • LED setup uses more space between lamp and plants, meaning grower needs a taller space to get better yields.
